Need Advice about Current Situation

I just found out my current family is moving out of the country so I obviously started looking for new jobs. I interviewed with a new family and ended up being offered the position that starts next week. I let my current family know right away (which was a week ago), however, they spent all of last week trying to convince me to stay. Finally over the weekend I explained that unfortunately I just can't stay with them until they move (which is in the middle of summer) and they asked that I stay through the end of next week knowing my new job starts next week.

Job interview

I posted a few months about my current family who is just not clean. The house is gross, all the bathrooms reek, there are spiderwebs in the corners because no one has cleaned them in ages, etc. anyways I am a fairly tidy and clean person and it just grosses me out to the point where I feel dirty when I go home. I get along great with the kids so I thought I'd try to stick it out.

Burnt Out and Want to Start My Own Childcare Business

I've been working as a nanny for years and I feel like my time is coming to an end. My current family is super nice, but they have been getting comfortable with me taking on extra duties. Within my first six months working I got a raise and I even received a bonus for potty training the oldest. It has almost been a year and a half since working for them and I haven't received another raise, no bonus for potty training child #2, and I am doing chores that belong to the family.

Moving to DC! Help for new nanny job

Hey nanny friends!!

I'm moving to DC from Jersey and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding a new nanny job in the area! My boyfriend is working at the pentagon as a police officer so I'll be moving to Alexandria, VA! Just wondering if anyone knew around in the area or are from the area that can help me out :)

Difficult Situation at New Nanny Job.. Help?

I just started a job as a nanny for two boys. In my initial interview, I agreed to a low salary and some vague chores.

Now "helping around the house" has turned into me doing the whole family's laundry, picking up groceries, doing all the dishes, walking the dog, cooking, meal planning, etc. all while watching the children. I should be making at least 13$ or 14$ an hour, plus gas money, plus overtime, but they paid me a flat $10 fee for everything and haven't mentioned helping with my gas or paying for the extra cleaning duties they've tacked on, my overtime, etc.

Finding Work

Hi all! I'm thinking about picking up a second part-time job, and I'm wondering how you nannies find your work? Do you use a nanny agency, word of mouth, care websites, etc? I haven't had much luck looking for work online. Families post job offerings, but never get back to me when I apply! I'm a qualified and experienced caregiver and my applications are always professional, so I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong! Any advice? Let me know what you do when you are in the market for a new position!

policies for future boses?

I wanted to know if nannies can apply policies like severe weather or not working if the child is sick etc when they are hired for a new
job.

I'm about to quit my current position and I don't want to make the same mistakes that I made before like coming to work in a snowstorm or coming to work during my Christmas vacation
